Planetary Nebula Abell 7

This is a very faint planetary nebula about 1800 light-years away in the constellation Lepus. The white dwarf at its center is what’s left of a ten billion year old star that blew itself out about 20,000 years ago.

Over 33 hours of HOO exposure on this. I’ve seen prettier pictures of it, but I keep my processing minimal to try and represent things a little more realistically.
